Fields of Scholarship and Research Interests

Professor Fadhel M. Ghannouchi is an internationally recognized authority in wireless communications and radio-frequency (RF) engineering, with seminal contributions to RF/microwave circuits and systems, power amplifier (PA) linearization, and cognitive and reconfigurable radio technologies. His research has fundamentally shaped the theory and practice of digital predistortion (DPD) and behavioral modeling of nonlinear RF power amplifiers, providing key enabling technologies for modern broadband and multistandard wireless systems, including 4G/5G and beyond. He has also made influential contributions to adaptive RF front-ends, software-defined radio, green and energy-efficient wireless transmitters, and intelligent RF systems integrating signal processing and machine learning methods. Beyond technical innovation, his work bridges theory, hardware implementation, and industrial deployment, and has been widely adopted by the wireless communications industry, influencing both international standards and commercial RF system design.
